Interesting Case of the Month - (IGHP, ICOM) - December

Clinical History-

14-year-male child presented with progressive dysphagia for 6 months. He also had history of recurrent pleural effusion for which chest tube instillation done.

Radiology-

UGIE- Large polypoidal growth seen extending into lumen of oesophagus, with increased vascularity ofoesophageal wall.

CECT Chest- S/o ill-defined enhancing mass with few calcifications in posterior mediastinum? neoplastic growth extending endo luminally into oesophagus-

Microscopic Images-

Immunohistochemistry–

IHC for CD56 diffusely and strongly positive with weak paranuclear positivity with PanCK and S100. IHC markers for CD45, CD20, SALL4, Synaptophysin, chromogranin, Desmin, PLAP, CD117 are negative. Ki67 labelling index was 10-15%
